X-Men: Days Of Future Past - Definitive Character Guide

Adan Canto as Sunspot

9 Sunspot According to the comics, Sunspot is a mutant with the ability to absorb solar energy and convert it into physical strength. He can also transform into a black powered-up form (pictured above). He was one of the original members of the first X-Men spin-off series New Mutants. He was also member of X-Force, the continuation of the New Mutants team lead by the time travelling mutant Cable. The inclusion of the Brazilian mutant Sunspot brings some welcome diversity to the film. Adan Canto is a Mexican actor who in addition to working on some Mexican films, has been part of the main cast of the TV series The Following with X-Men film alumni Shawn Ashmore and Kevin Bacon. Fox Studios recently announced that an X-Force film is in development. Sunspot seems a very likely inclusion in that film if he is popular in Days of Future Past.

BooBoo Stewart as Warpath

8 Warpath According to the comics, Warpath is an American Indian mutant with superhuman speed and strength. He is the brother of the X-Man Thunderbird, who died on his second mission with the team. Warpath was initially bent on avenging his brother€™s death by killing Professor X, but he wasn€™t able to follow through. He eventually joined Cable€™s X-Force and became one of its longest standing members. He was also part of the more recently formed X-Force strike team. BooBoo Stewart is best known as a supporting character in the Twilight Saga film series, along with X-Men alumni Daniel Cudmore. It is unclear whether Stewart will be able to bring the ferocious intensity required for the character, but he does have some experience in martial arts. Like Sunspot, Warpath seems a very likely candidate for inclusion in the X-Force film.
