X-Men: Apocalypse - 25 WTF Moments

7. Quicksilver's Big Moment

Xmen Apocalypse Quicksilver

Even though the trailer gave away a little of Quicksilver's exceptional high-speed sequence, it didn't take away anything from the brilliantly choreographed, film-stealing scene within the exploding Xavier Institute.

And while we've seen it all before (on a much smaller scale), watching him navigate the Mansion and save (almost) all of the residents in super slow motion is one of the franchise's most rewarding moments of all. It's hilarious and hugely entertaining, even if it removes all sense of threat, and it is typified by the shot of him running in extreme close-up with the Institute's resident bulldog (played rather brilliantly by Tauntaun).

You might worry about how they top this moment next time out, but it's still fresh and fun enough to leave your jaw totally hanging. And the decision to use The Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams" is inspired too.
