5. Weapon X

It's a shame Fox felt the need to tease Wolverine's presence in the pre-release trailer, because his cameo would have had far more impact coming completely out of the blue.

Still, it's a great sequence - even if it is a little jarring compared to the rest of the film in terms of its violence - and it finally gives us a first real look at Wolverine's berserker rage.

The only real issue is the context of his escape. Why the hell would Stryker think that keeping Weapon X in a big crate in the generator room without so much as a pick of security would be the right decision? Magneto's prison in Days Of Future Past made Logan's crate look like a 5 star hotel, and he's half the threat Weapon X is.

It's hard not to think, in that context, that all of the Alkali Lake staff who died pretty much deserved it for putting their most dangerous commodity in a utility cupboard.
