4. Right, So How Come Mystique Is Using Her Powers?!

The Alkali Lake sequence is extremely careful to show that the magical green lights with no scientific explanation can stop all of the mutants channelling their X-genes to use their pesky powers to try and escape.

Except, for almost the entire time Mystique is imprisoned under the dampening field, she's very obviously using her powers. Not only does she shape shift once, she maintains her appearance as Raven (rather than her natural blue look), flying in the face of the prison's internal physics.

Apparently the writers allowed the fact that Jennifer Lawrence wasn't keen on being in blue makeup as much by simply writing in a massive plothole.
