X-Men Apocalypse: 36 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes & References You Need To See

1. The Post-Credits: Mister Sinister

The post-credit scene sees a triumvirate of shady corporate types in sharp suits heading to the carnage of Alkali Lake, walking through the bodies left by Wolverine's rampage (and past cleaners literally hoovering up bullets). Finally the lead stooge gets to the room Wolverine escaped from (which ludicrously housed the main generator, Wolverine in a box AND a fridge full of his DNA), and taking a sample of his blood to add to his collection.

Crucially, the sample then goes into a briefcase marked Essex Corp - an obvious and exciting reference to Nathaniel Essex - who becomes Mister Sinister (thanks to Apocalypse) in the comics, and who likes to clone X-Men. Hopefully this means he's going to appear in either Wolverine 3, the next X-Men film or Gambit.
