10. Storm Will Be Joining X-Men: The New Mutants
A movie adaptation of the New Humans comic book series, which features students from Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters as they become mutant superheroes, has been in active development for some time. In addition to the reveal this week that the movie line-up will feature Wolfsbane (played by Maisie Williams), Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Cannonball, Sunspot, Mirage and Professor Xavier himself, Storm has also been confirmed to appear, as played by Alexandra Shipp, who will first take on the role in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse.
Though Storm was never part of the New Mutants in the source material, Fox are clearly confident in Shipp's new interpretation of the character, and surprise, surprise, yes, this means that she's almost certainly turned to the good side by the end of Apocalypse.
Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) directs, but beyond that, we don't know any more about when it might arrive.
