"You have to look beautiful for your funeral" - Liam Neeson & Christina Ricci's Casper the friendly ghost movie...

A dead Christina Ricci is trapped as a ghost with unfinished business? Did Warner Bros. greenlight a 15 years later sequel to Casper, or am I missing something? What After.Life may well prove to be guilty of when it's released on April 9th in the U.S, is of carrying the stunningly worst performance in Ricci's whole career. Who would have thought it, huh? The emo/goth chick from The Addams Family, who we all had a crush on in the Hammer-esque Sleepy Hollow, and whose CV would seem ripe for a Sarah Michelle Gellar like run at horror movies - actually sucks leading this type of picture. I would have never put money on that. But she's in good company.

Justin Long's virtuous boyfriend seeking the truth is a re-hash (clothes, look, tone, demeanor and all) of his Drag Me To Hell role and he will be on auto-pilot again. However we will of course forgive Liam Neeson who had a lot more pressing matters going on during the making of this movie... The movie is co-written and directed by a guy (the feature debut of Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo) who sounds like a villain in The Temple of Doom, so for fear of my heart being ripped out - I won't say another word.
