Zack Snyder’s Justice League: 27 WTF Moments

23. Steppenwolf's Ridiculous Redesign

Zack Snyder's Justice League Wonder Woman
Warner Bros.

Steppenwolf (Ciaran Hinds) may still be a relatively generic antagonist all things considered, but he gets a far stronger showing in the Snyder Cut, with his motivations for wanting to appease Darkseid (Ray Porter) gaining a great deal of clarity.

Snyder also sought to give Steppenwolf a redesign, now touting ridiculous, spiked metal armour which is nothing if not a shining example of how to totally over-design a character.

He looks absurd, though at least more menacing than the more generic humanoid look featured in the Whedon Cut, hewing closer to the brief glimpse we caught of him in the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman.
