Zack Snyder Says Ben Affleck Is The Best Ever Batman
Well, he would, wouldn't he?!
Inevitably, what with Batman Day happening this weekend, the Dark Knight has been a key topic of conversation across the net. New Justice League composer Danny Elfman offered his own celebration, Ben Affleck's stunt doubles shared a behind-the-scenes shot and now the DCEU's original architect has had his say on Affleck's Bat.
The former Justice League director has taken to his Vero account to celebrate Batman Day by honouring Affleck's take on the character. And sure, while it might seem a little self-serving (since it's HIS Batman he's talking about), he says Affleck is the best one there's ever been.
Even with all of the criticism leveled at Batman v Superman and Snyder personally, Affleck's Batman was mostly well-received. He looked the part, he was certainly a legitimate threat to Superman and he did the best job possible with the material.
There's still some question over his performance as Bruce Wayne - mostly because he's not believable as a secretive guy trying not to draw attention to himself thanks to his ridiculous hulking size - but there's no denying his impact under the cowl.
Is his performance really better than Michael Keaton's Bat? Or Christian Bale's? It's a close race, that's for certain.
