Zack Snyder's Justice League: 10 Issues That Hold It Back From Greatness

8. The Humour Doesn't Work At All

Regarding the humour, with Snyder's Justice League it really is very weak.

Despite this being a much darker version of the story than Whedon's, the film is still full of quips and zingers and not only do they clash with the overall tone of the film, but they just aren't very good in general.

A notably bad example is this one-liner from Ryan Choi (Kai Zheng), when he is discussing one of the mother-boxes (the film's MacGuffins): "You're looking at the hottest thing on Earth. Exact words I said to my prom date. She dumped me anyway."

Perhaps the most harmful effect of these inadequate jokes is that they make the Flash (Ezra Miller) more annoying than he was in the original cut, since he's not nearly as funny (in spite of Miller's strong work in the role).
