Zack Snyder's Justice League: 10 Issues That Hold It Back From Greatness

7. Was This Even Rated R?

It was undeniably exciting to hear that this would be getting an R-rating but honestly, they shouldn't have bothered. The R-rating adds absolutely nothing to the film.

There are a few moments of bloody violence but these are darkly lit and hard to catch, while there are only two or three F-bombs in the movie.

Basically, had they edited out some of the blood, this would've been a PG-13 without question, and it's a shame they didn't just do that.

Not only does the R-rating raise expectations that aren't ever actually met, but it also reduces the film's audience a bit and it means that younger DC fans might not be allowed to watch it, which will no doubt be pretty gutting for them.
