While not a part of the superhero action, Alfred had a number of great moments in the film as the character helped ground the group of superheroes. His guidance and role as the "man in the chair" for the Justice League are crucial components that help the group operate.

His chemistry with both Ben Affleck's Batman and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman is brilliant and the famous butler has a lot of delightful moments that build on his character.

The character also provides the best humour the film has to offer, with scenes such as calling Bruce "insufferable" and his critiques of Diana's ability to make tea being hilarious. Led by a great performance from Jeremy Irons, Alfred manages stand out in a film full of powerful and scene-stealing characters.
