10 Amazing Moments From The Worst Video Games

2. Not Escaping - Far Cry 4

Far Cry 4 might be a few leagues above the likes of Shaq Fu, but don't let that fool you into thinking it is a good, original game. There are moments when it is fun, such as liberating outposts and completing generic tasks but these events are scarcely new.

It is effectively the same as its predecessor and achieves almost nothing in the way of advancing or innovating the franchise. It released at a time when Ubisoft was heavily criticised for recycling content and it is clear to see why, especially with this game.

The main character had little-to-no characterisation, realistically lacked the ability to achieve anything he does in the narrative and ultimately feels disjointed from it.

Still, underneath all the recycling was an original villain - Pagan Min - who was more compelling than Vaas Montenegro. In fact, if you trigger the alternate ending he isn't even that bad and offers one of the greatest moments in video game history.

At the very start of the game, Min requests that you remain exactly where you are and wait for his return. The obvious choice to make is to escape and continue the story. The road less travelled however (i.e. staying there) actually results in the villain letting you go, thereby completing the game.
