10 Amazing Video Games That Justify The Wii U's Existence
3. Bayonetta 2
Speaking of Hideki Kamiya... what about Bayonetta 2, a game that only exists because Nintendo funded it? The first Bayonetta was a massive cult hit, an action hack 'n' slash title that pushed the definition of "absolutely insane" to its utter limits.
Like its predecessor, Bayonetta 2 is all about ramping up the spectacle - I mean, the game begins with the player character battling evil angels while plummeting off the edge of a cliff, leaping between pieces of shattered wall.
Like The Wonderful 101, however, the game's spectacle in no way means there's a diminished emphasis on gameplay. The challenge remains substnaital, and the only way to truly progress is through determination and skill.
