Leave it to Nintendo to consistently shake up its game's visuals. Though it would have been easy to rip a bunch of assets from New Super Mario Bros. Wii U and churn out a new Yoshi game, they did something different, and the result is a staggeringly unique platformer.

At first glance Yoshi's Woolly World may not look all that remarkable, but on closer examination you can see the intricacy of its design. The premise? Everything is made out of craft materials.

Seriously...everything.

Whether that's yarn, buttons, cardboard, string or something else, everything in the game adheres to this premise, creating arguably the most visually interesting experience on the console.

The gameplay itself is simple yet satisfying, a moderate challenge for the vast majority of gamers but one that never feels boring. Its the gorgeous aesthetic that makes the experience that much more memorable.
