10 Annoying Characters That Stopped Great Video Games Being Perfect

6. Elena - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

Similarly to Raiden in the Metal Gear Solid series, Elena Fisher is yet another character who started life very poorly, before growing more bearable later on. In Drake's Fortune especially, Elena carries much of the same infuriating uselessness as the aforementioned Natalya, punctuating the air of firefights with shrill screeches and needless panic.

Given how much faith she has in Nate, it really gets annoying that she's consistently so unwilling to leave him to take care of business when things start to head south.

One moment she's encouraging Nate to continue his adventures as a stern personality shines through, while the next she's falling through a bridge or disappearing and managing to get captured within seconds. If she really wanted Nate to succeed, then why the heck didn't she just leave him to it and make sure he doesn't have to continually bail her out of trouble?

The fact that Drake so easily falls for Elena after a bit of initial resistance is a shame; whoever would have believed that Nate would fall into the trap of simply wanting what he initially believes he cannot have?

Perhaps he is just like the rest of us after all?
