10 Anticipated Video Games FINALLY Releasing In 2022

Harry Potter games have been around since... well... the moment the first Harry Potter movie was released. Even though such titles have entertained fans for years, gamers always wanted a sprawling open-world Potter game on the same scale as GTA or Breath of the Wild.

So, when footage leaked of Avalanche Software's Hogwarts Legacy in 2018, the internet went nuts. But since the open-world title was in the early stages at the time, we had to wait until September 2020 before we got our first official teaser.

In the trailer, we see that the player will take control of a student at the famous wizarding school during the 1800s. Throughout your adventures, you can explore familiar locations like the Forbidden Forest and Hogsmeade Village. You can also perform spells, brew potions, and tame monsters. Even though JK Rowling had no involvement in the project, it's self-evident the developers went beyond the call of duty to capture the franchise's magical spirit.

Originally slotted for 2021, it was announced four months later that Hogwarts Legacy wouldn't be available until 2022. No exact date has been given but it won't be long before we can take to the skies on a Hippogriff and battle Dementors.
