10 Anticipated Video Games That Have Probably Been Cancelled
7. Days Gone
The immediate thought would be "Surely not?!", but I posit this: When was the last time you saw anything relating to Days Gone?
Even its debut at E3 2016 was focused on highlighting some yawn-worthy zombie crowd tech - a gameplay 'hook' that still failed to impress earlier this year. Then you have the fact Days Gone never showed at PlayStation Experience, the notion that The Last of Us 2 is very much encroaching on its own "infected midwest" territory and the realisation that zombie games as a cultural zeitgeist died out a good four years ago.
Days Gone is propped up by virtue of being developed by Sony's beloved BEND studio, though even they aren't strangers to cancellation, as their last console title after Uncharted: Golden Abyss was also canned back in 2011.
The fact remains that Days Gone has never turned heads, doesn't look to have anything to offer, and is already overshadowed for at least another year by Naughty Dog's next masterpiece.
Not good.
