The Eikonic abilities in Final Fantasy 16 are aptly named - as you battle your way through summons and gain their abilities, you begin to put together some truly fantastic combinations of moves. Both visually flashy and great at tearing through enemies, using the right equips in your Eikon slots can allow you to style your way to victory.

One of the most challenging fights in the game is the Odin-infused duel against Barnabas, and, once you manage to unlock the Allfather's Arm of Darkness, you gain access to the infamous Zantetsuken.

This move allows you to deal massive damage in exchange for a long startup time - a classic risk-reward scenario - but the wind-up of the move itself isn't even the beginning of the challenge.

To use Zantetsuken, not only do you have to equip Arm of Darkness - a much less damaging sword than Clive's own blade - but you have to build to level 5 if you want to make it worthwhile, forcing you to cater to this one attack over everything else.

Even for such a devastating move, the amount of prep just isn't worth it.
