9. Little Big Planet
Released in 2008 by Sony for the Playstation 3, Little Big Planet, LBP for short, took the world by storm through puzzles, the ability to create content, and adorable little customizable sack characters. The game had a decent pace, and also won several awards for its game design, art direction, visual engineering, and innovation in gaming. It was also named Game of the Year by several gaming magazines and websites.
Why it would make a terrible film: There is no story. While this hasn't stopped filmmakers from borrowing ideas from pop culture in the past (Battleship, anyone?), it does present an issue. Inventing a story for LBP wouldn't be difficult, just throw in a villain and announce that the little sack guy has to complete the tasks (puzzles) to save his world, and you're clear. And while this might be a great movie to entertain the kids with, it might be too boring for adults to sit through. Even adults who love adorable sack people.
