"This is not your grave, but you are welcome in it." Placing the Gravemind above the Master Chief is one of the bravest moments of my life. How could anyone place a giant iambic-pentameter-speaking-worm-thing above one of gamings icons? The Gravemind isn't even a character as such, because it's not a singular life form, it's many. That's what makes it such an interesting being. The Gravemind represents the end of life, the culmination of death in a living form, that seeks to add to its own. It cannot be reasoned with, it cannot be understood, it just exists and destroys. It's basically a grim reaper without the cloak. And the scythe. Normally, that'd make for a pretty boring and lifeless enemy. But when you consider that it speaks in poem, well, that's an entirely different story. Whilst we may not see the Gravemind from the previous games, it's likely we'll see another form of it at least in the future.
