"Relax. I'd rather not p*ss this thing off." Well, you didn't expect to find him here did you? Coming in at number 3 is your favourite cyborg, the Master Chief. Now, you might be about to click off in disgust that the Chief isn't number one, or at the very least, number two. But admit it, you're interested to see just who's next. So stick around. The Master Chief speaks little words, and all the ass-kicking is player controlled. Still, there's something humble about the man that commits genocide as a day job. Over the course of the series, and books, the Chief has evolved from a mute robot into a living human being that you often sympathise with. Stolen from his home at a young age, the Chief was one of many humans forcibly augmented by Catherine Halsey to defend Earth and her colonies. As a super-soldier with no life beyond wielding a Battle Rifle, it's often hard to relate to his struggle. One of the keys factors of the Reclaimer trilogy is to develop the Chief into a more relatable character, not just a humourless robot. So far so good. Halo 4 saw the death of Cortana and a brief few minutes of sadness that he had lost his best friend/girlfriend/sister/thing. It's hard just to summarise the importance of the character. Whilst he may have a voice and stoic personality; he's Halo is human(ish) form.
