If you're lamenting the current state of BioWare and waiting anxiously for Dragon Age 4 to either confirm and assuage your deepest fears about what EA has done to this once beloved company, then worry not, because you can get your fix with Greedfall.

Relative newcomer Spider has created an epic RPG centered around being a badass fantasy pirate caught up in the politics of your equally badass fantasy world. With charming and complex companions by your side, you must slash, shoot, and magic your way to the truth of this "One Piece going through a Goth Metal phase" world.

For the first major attempt by a new studio, Greedfall is one of the best RPGs of its year. And while mainstream audiences didn't give it the time of day, their loss can be your gain. I mean, come on, fantasy pirates are inherently cool. This is science.
