2. Ultima Weapon
The Ultima Weapon is one of the most iconic weapons in all of Kingdom Hearts. Whilst the Kingdom Key is synonymous with Sora, the Ultima Weapon has actually appeared in every single Kingdom Hearts game to date. It's just a shame it can be such a pain to unlock.
Design-wise, the Ultima Weapon screams power. The mix of vibrant blues and yellows make it stand out unlike any other Keyblade, and the consistent theme of Sora's crown necklace ties it directly to his character. It feels like a weapon he's supposed to use. Another plus is that the Ultima Weapon actually changes its look with each different title in the series, giving it an evolved feel across each game.
Of course, the real reason to actually get the Ultima Weapon is its amazing stats. The Ultima Weapon has the best range of magic and strength in most of the games it appears in and often boosts magic charge speed. Because of this, it becomes the go to Keyblade for taking down difficult post game bosses, easily outdoing the best story Keyblades.
Why isn't this number one? The time it takes to unlock the Ultima Weapon is often very long, requiring a lot of patience, grinding, and is often quite obscure in its unlock requirements. By the time you actually unlock Ultima Weapon, you probably will have done everything else in the game, making unlocking it quite an obsolete task.
Despite this, if you put in the effort to actually unlock the Ultima Weapon, it remains as one of the best Keyblades in the whole series.
