When Telltale announced a series based on Borderlands, it's fair to say a lot of eyebrows were raised. It seemed like such an odd fit; trying to shoe-horn story into a looter shooter. Well, the wizards at Telltale proved we shouldn't doubt them after they delivered an amazing, funny, and emotional series that ranks up there with the very best.

Telltale introduced two new main characters, Rhys and Fiona, both of whom have slightly different memories of events, allowing you to play through the same scene twice with hilarious commentary. The tremendous dialogue and voice acting were supported by a fun story, great music, and one hell of a final boss fight. It was a critical hit and went on to win quite a few awards in 2014, and it's a shame we never got a second season.

Tales From The Borderlands was shockingly good. It came at a time when Telltale was firing on all cylinders and could (seemingly) do no wrong. To this day it's one of the studio's best series and well worth a visit, or revisit, but you'd better do it before the games are taken from storefronts forever.
