9. Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020
Mario & Sonic's Olympic adventures are brilliantly addictive and offer up endless fun when you have a group of friends together, and just like a sharing box of 20 chicken nuggets, you'll have a great time on your own too.
In a way, it's difficult to compare it to any other games here. There's a semblance of a story, but the real fun lies in just competing in the events. Nintendo has moved away from the party console days of the Wii, and that's largely to its credit: most of the games here, and most of their stellar hits, have come from Nintendo taking it seriously as a home console.
With Mario & Sonic though, we got a reminder of how well they can still deliver party atmosphere.
It offers plenty of replayability, and will likely get another push in the summer when the Olympic Games actually kick off. The treatment of Mario Party on the Switch doesn't suggest updates or additional features will be abound for the future, but with new events like the equestrian game mode and the funky pixelated version of popular events, Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games has the legs to last until summer anyway.
