10 Best Nintendo Switch Exclusives Of 2019
8. Yoshi's Crafted World
Yoshi's Crafted World is an explosion of creativity and colour, and as you'd expect from Nintendo, it's exactly the sort of cuddly game they're known for. There are some more mature games here, in difficulty, aesthetic and themes, but we shouldn't look down on Nintendo for putting out such a loveable title too.
It's a 2.5D side scroller, though in the spirit of Paper Mario and Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker, angles and perspective play a big part here. Masquerading as an arts and crafts project, the levels are all built out of paper, sellotape and plastic cups to make for some darling visuals.
It's a delightful little romp which probably won't challenge you too much, but is a very fun way to pass the time. It's great that more games are getting serious about offering absorbing, emotional experiences, but it's nice to be reminded that, at their heart, games are supposed to just be fun.
A perfect sequel to Yoshi's Wooly World. These sorts of games are always going to come across as filler, but as a filler game, you could do a lot worse.
