Kirby might not have the same level of fame as Mario or Link, but he's a big household name and easily one of Nintendo's most recognisable characters. How fitting then, that his return to Dream Land is held in such high regard.

This is another Switch remaster, bringing the acclaimed Wii title Kirby's Return to Dream Land to the console. It does a great job of capturing the nostalgia of the original game while adding more to it. For example, besides updating the visuals, it also includes an epilogue that lets you play as the previously non-playable character, Magolor. Wow, there's a lot of that going around.

It also has an awesome co-op mode that lets you and up to three friends complete levels as a collection of characters from the franchise. The other playable characters include Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Waddle Dee. Or, you could just play as a different-coloured version of Kirby, of course.

The original Kirby's Return to Dream Land was released in 2011 and was the first title in eleven years to return to the traditional platforming format of the franchise. The fact that this remake is so highly regarded proves that it was ultimately worth the wait.
