Mass Effect 3 may have had one of the most controversial endings in all of gaming history, but that cannot take away from the amazing gameplay and graphics of this space adventure. As Commander Shepard, it is your job to put together a team to save the universe from a whole new threat and uncover a few mysteries along the way. Favorites from past titles are brought back along with some new faces that help keep things fresh in the ME universe. Being able to play Shepard as a woman was one of the more popular changes to the game, but upgrades to graphics and controls, new enemies and a redesigned ship all made for a well-rounded experience. A variety of companions and weapons as well as a very important choice system give this game great replay value and occasional moments of humor kept things light among all the killing and destruction. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeeGa-hD-Mg As for the universe, instead of having one big sandbox level, Mass Effect is broken up into multiple planets with a few hubs like your ship, The Normandy, and a space station known as The Citadel. Each world has a completely different feel to it and new threat to overcome. The choices you make will heavily influence how the game plays out, with some choices even affecting whether or not a character remains part of the known universe. This third-person shooter franchise is epic in scale and still has a lot of stories to tell in future games. One of the best thing about this franchise is that you can import your previous character to each new game, with the third installment offering a special ending to the game that is only available to those who have played the series since the very start.
I have been a writer for Bleacher Report for several years, and am now happy to also be a writer at What Culture! I do my best to contribute anywhere I can in a positive way, and that includes in my writing. Some people call me The Doctor, but Chris is fine.
