10 Best Spider-Man Games Of All Time - Ranked

9. Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro

Spider-Man Enter Electro
Activision

It received quite the critical kicking at the time, thanks to Activision handing development duties over to a new studio, the title's short length and repeated assets, but the sequel to Neversoft's seminal PS1 Spider-Man game is still a damn good time.

Swapping out Doc Ock and Carnage for Electro as the main villain, the sequel makes use of some of the more overlooked enemies in the wall-crawler's rogues gallery, pitting players agains the likes of Hammerhead and Shocker.

The gameplay is pretty much unchanged from the original, but the addition of levels set on the streets (which were previously inaccessible) and the inventive create-a-spider system, which allowed you to create a costume with its own unique powers, shook things up enough to keep it interesting.

The addition of other Marvel heroes was a delight as well, with a training mode set in the X-Men's Danger Zone being a particular highlight.
