Finally, we come Leonardo Da Vinci, specifically the rendition crafted by Ubisoft for the Assassin's Creed series. The franchise has always featured historical figures in some form and few have resonated more strongly with players. Voiced by Carlos Ferro, he quickly became a fan favourite.

A local resident of Florence in Rennaissance Italy, Leonardo is introduced to Ezio Auditore very early on. He's extroverted and a little eccentric, but incredibly enthusiastic towards his work and inventions. This gets the player invested straight away and the game makes use of his talents without becoming overbearing. Slowly but surely, he becomes a great ally and friend to the protagonist.

Once Ezio rescues him from corrupt templar guards, Leonardo crafts the hidden blade for the protaganist alongside further upgrades as the game goes on. Further down the road, he plays a crucial role in breaching the heavily fortified Palazzo Ducale. In a moment of "what if?" history, the young assassin makes use of a working flying machine to infiltrate the building and kill a target.

All in all, Leonardo is an incredibly charismatic presence who consistently assisted Ezio across both Asssassin's Creed II and Brotherhood. His charisma played a big role in making those titles more memorable.
