10 Best WWE Video Game Storylines (They Need To Do In Real Life)

4. Feuds That Follow On To Others (Smackdown vs. Raw 2007/Here Comes The Pain)

It seems so simple, but it doesn't happen quite as often as it should in WWE. In several WWE videogames, feuds evolve naturally, flowing nicely from one rivalry into the next, and it comes across really well. It's engaging for the player to move from one feud into another seamlessly, and with purpose, and it's confusing why this doesn't happen more in real-life. One example comes from Smackdown vs. Raw 2007, and sees the player locked in an intense series of matches against Chris Benoit. None other than Johnny Nitro (John Morrison) offers to guide your created superstar, noting that they don't really measure up, aesthetically, to the rest of the WWE roster. During the feud with Benoit, it seems like Nitro is always about to turn on you, but he doesn't, instead helping you emerge victorious, possibly with a title. It's then that his real motives become clear, and Nitro gets fed up of how huge he perceives the player's ego to have become. The Benoit story now concluded, the player moves on to a rivalry opposite Nitro. It's that kind of seamless transition which doesn't seem to happen as often as fans would like in WWE.
