A vast improvement over the disappointing Dead Rising 2, the third entry in the zombie massacring series is hugely impressive from both a technical and fun perspective. The fantastic engine allows for hundreds upon hundreds of zombies on-screen at once, and the sandbox, open world makes for the perfect playground in which to un-undead them all. If anything, the new location of Los Perdidos is slightly smaller than the previous game, but it makes up for it in detail, environmental richness, and the massive amount of ridiculous weaponry it's possible to craft. While the boss fights can be tedious and frustrating, there's no better game on the market for mowing down herds of zombies, using stuff like a mechanical cat covered in blades or a steamroller.
