10 Biggest Gaming Moments Of The Last Decade

Every now and then a video game comes along that’s so big that the world slows down a little bit for it. Grand Theft Auto VI is so huge that it might be genuinely in danger of causing parts of the globe to outright stop.

With 12 years of slowly-building hype since the release of GTA V - and leaks and rumours adding fuel to the fire - GTA6’s trailer was a cultural moment in itself.

It destroyed records, becoming the most viewed video game trailer of all time and the third most viewed non-music related video on YouTube. Rockstar announced that the game would release in Fall 2025.

However, this was pushed back to 26th May 2026. This news was nearly as big as the trailer. Sure, the delay sucked but now we had an actual release date. This sent studios all over the globe into a meltdown, moving their planned releases out of the way so as to not to be swallowed up by all the consuming cultural maw that is Grand Theft Auto VI.

It’s impossible to predict if it can live up to over a decade of expectation or what effects it will have on gaming in general, but truly nothing has captured the conversation in the last 10 years more than the fact GTA6 is coming… finally. Eventually.
