10 Biggest Video Game Complaints FIXED In DLC
1. Everything - Destiny: The Taken King (2015)
Before No Man's Sky took it over in 2015, the whole front carriage of the hype train was booked up by Bungie's Halo-esque multiplayer shooter, Destiny. No expense was spared on the trailers and celebrity voice acting, and its bright-coloured, fast-paced sci-fi gameplay caught the eye of millions of impatient gamers all around the world.
Long story short, it was always going to end in tears.
Many considered the base gameplay dull and repetitive, with an ungenerous loot yield and a threadbare story to go with it. While a good portion of players probably didn't stick around after this, the ones who did were rewarded for their patience when the 2015 expansion, The Taken King, came around.
This DLC basically improved the Destiny experience in every conceivable way. With a new humorous storyline, more intelligent enemy AI and gripping, visually stunning action, this was the complete overhaul that fans had yearned for in a game that had, until that point, wasted its vast potential.
The loot system was also drastically altered, allowing players to dismantle weapons in their inventory in order to upgrade their old favourites. And, of course, there was just far more loot to be found in general.
From a game that barely anyone had time for to an immensely engaging multiplayer space opera, Destiny: The Taken King is a textbook example of the old saying, "the best things come to those who wait".
