1. Epic Game Store Exclusives

2019 was the year that Epic Games announced that they'd be getting their own storefront, complete with games that would be exclusive

Although PC players only really had to download another launcher and get an account on a different store, it kicked up a whole load of fuss. People didn't want to have to do that stuff.

There were some pretty big games snatched up for exclusives on the store too. For a community that was used to unity in where they get their games, it was a huge shake-up.

The worst case scenarios came from games that were previously available on the Steam store, only to be ripped away last minute to become exclusive on the Epic store. One great example came with Metro Exodus' collector's edition, that featured an Epic Games Store sticker placed over the Steam logo.

More than anything else, it's a situation that could have been handled a lot more intelligently.
