10 Bizarre Video Game Spin-Offs You Had No Idea Existed

6. Link's Crossbow Training (2007) (Wii)

url-3 As a general rule of thumb, any game with the word "training" in the title isn't likely to have people foaming at the mouth with excitement - I mean, how fun can you make training, exactly? And to be fair, Link's Crossbow Training was one of those "not to be sold separately" bundle games that came when you bought a Wii Zapper (the Wii version of a light-gun), as to build hype and get people aquatinted with its "new" technology. The game, then - which pits Legend of Zelda hero Link against a variety of baddies in arena-type scenarios - was the subject of much conflict at Nintendo H.Q., which saw its creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, at odds with his staff, who poo-pooed their suggestions to infuse the game with an "epic" storyline. What you got instead - courtesy of Miyamoto - was a game that took about an hour to finish and got old pretty quickly. And it's not exactly terrible, though you probably don't want to catch sight of yourself playing Crossbow Training in the mirror. Just, 'cause, you're playing a game called Link's Crossbow Training. You loser.
