7. Pokemon Channel (2003) (GameCube)
Picture this: whilst on your way to work at Nintendo H.Q., you're hit by a car and ploughed head-first into a TV store. You're fine, because all that glass helped to cushion your fall, but your brain is a little bit broken. When you get to work, your boss asks you to pitch a ground-breaking video game idea to the board of directors, and - in your post-accident daze - you say, "A video game where... you watch television... on your television.
Pokemon." You'd be fired instantly, of course, because those are the ramblings of a mad man, and yet - for reasons we can't quite comprehend -
Pokemon Channel got made. And this is a Pokemon spin-off that you could
once buy with actual money, and one which had you watching Pokemon-themed television shows and, um, nothing else. Seriously. Simply put, then,
Channel can't really be justified as an actual video game - getting hit by a car and being ploughed head-first into a TV store is far more interactive, and surprisingly more fun.
