10 Most Bizarre WTF Video Games Ever Made

7. How To Be A Complete Bastard (1987, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum)

How To Be A Complete Bastard Cpc I remember this game coming free with my Amstrad CPC 464 when I was a kid and despite being an utter pile of shit was immediately my favourite game in the world because it had Bastard in the title. I never actually understood the game nor did I have any idea how to play it. In fairness that was as much to do with the terrible graphics (this screenshot MUST have been touched up) as it was my terrible (still to this day) lack of gaming skills. The game, which was developed by Sentient Software and published by Virgin Games in 1987, is based upon the book of the same name written by Adrian Edmondson who we all know and love from his roles in The Young Ones and Bottom. The player takes control of some guy named Ade who takes it upon himself to gatecrash a snooty party and do everything in his power to ruin everyone's night. He accomplishes this by farting, weeing in sinks and generally causing all manner of disturbances in his bid to become a complete and utter bastard. So it's basically GTA in a house. The game caused outrage in the CPC world when it was given away for free and was deemed the most controversial UK game in the whole of 1991.
