10 Board Games That Would Make For Great Video Games
1. Dungeons And Dragons: Attack Wing
Battle Royales, love them or hate them, are not going away any time soon. However, with over saturation a growing problem and the majority of examples focused on humans running around with guns, the type risks getting a little stale.
But we can do better.
Imagine for a moment two dragons slamming into each other in mid-air, tumbling to the ground as they rip, tear and unleash great gouts of flame at each other, only to the continue the battle on the ground as around them mountainsides are reduced to glass.
Dungeons and Dragons: Attack Wing’s focus on hard-hitting, fast-paced combat lends itself well to the multiplayer chaos of Battle Royales but it is the promise of the sight of tens of dragons locked in mortal combat that is the real draw. A smooth, intuitive melee system will not be an easy thing to create, but get it right and this will be the first game where can you truly be a dragon.
The appeal does not end there. D&D is host to a bewilderingly vast bestiary that features giants, demons and movanic angels to name but a few. Integrate air and ground combat, ala a game like War Thunder, and Attack Wing promises to provide a cinematic, wildly varied, insanely fun spectacle never before seen in gaming.
Now if only WizKids would bring the tabletop version back...
