10 BONE-BREAKING Video Game Moves That Made You Wince

4. Torture Attack - Bayonetta 2

In Bayonetta, you play as an Umbra witch who is trying to stop the forces of Paradiso from obtaining the reality-controlling Eyes of the World. On your travels, you will travel to Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven to face off against angels, devils, and deities.

If Bayonetta has a full magic gauge while her opponent is heavily weakened, she can conjure a torture device, allowing her to kill them in a number of gory (but creative) ways. By summoning black maidens, racks, vises, and wheels of torture, you can have your enemies quartered, impaled, or crushed.

It's not just the spikes and chains that makes these torture devices look painful; it's the utter desperation of your enemies as they try to escape from a grisly demise. As you watch a demon fight back as your force its head into a guillotine, you kinda feel bad when the blade slices its head off.

You can't help but grimace as you see an angel flail helplessly as you shove him into a meat grinder. The fact that Bayonetta giggles and dances while she pulls out her victims' intestines or shreds them to pieces makes it all the more wince-inducing.
