10 Cancelled Star Wars Video Games That Would’ve Made Millions

7. Smuggler

Lucasfilm

Although the cancelled release substituted its first creative namesake, 'Scum and Villainy', for a more mundane one, Smuggler sounded anything but boring - this is a game that exuded creativity on a magnificent scale.

Taking on the persona of a Smuggler during the Empire's reign would make for a Star Wars game markedly different from the usual cut and mould titles gamers have seen before, with the most valuable weapons being stealth and piloting skills instead of a usual Lightsaber or Blaster.

Easily the most inventive of titles on this list, Smuggler would have introduced a number of mechanics unfamiliar to Star Wars releases of old, including the ability to customise your own character and crew, embark on missions of your own choosing, and buy and sell products with other players and traders.

Like many of the other titles on this list, Smuggler reached the conceptual stage of development in 2004, but was sadly canned in the following year, which is especially sad considering just what a unique concept this game revolved around.
