10 Canine Companions In Video Games That Stole Our Hearts

3. Hewie - Haunting Ground

Fable 2
Capcom

If you were trapped and trying to escape from a horror-filled castle. One where you are constantly pursued by a variety of hulking horrors, who would you want as a companion? Another human? No to unpredictable, A cat? Comforting but it won’t help you escape. Ah, I know, how about a German Shepheard? Yes of course, Intelligent, faithful, and can defend you from attackers.

In the survival horror game Haunting Ground, you play as Fiona Belli who is attempting to escape from the aforementioned horror-filled castle. Early on in your journey you help save and so join forces with another prisoner of the fortress, the four-year-old white German Shepherd called Hewie.

Over the course of your adventure, Fiona and Hewie will realise that the only way they can escape from this prison is by trusting and helping one another. You will do this by solving puzzles, exploring different areas and fighting off attackers.

Hewie is his own Dog, however, and you two have only just met. You must help to train your companion by praising him when he does well, and scorning him when he does wrong. You best learn to work together quick, though, because there are some dark goings-on in this castle.
