3. Monster Hunter World - Tempered Tantrum

Monster Hunter, as the title suggests, is all about the hunt. Within each title, they start off small, but by the end players are chasing the most illustrious and magnificent of beasts.

As such, the bigger they are, the easier they fall when you've got a likeminded team of hunters on your side. A problem shared, that kind of thing.

Tempered monsters, introduced in World, are the peak of hunts. The holy grail, the bragging rights. Killing or capturing these is the highest of accomplishments.

Unless, sadly, players got no one to help them with it.

It seems obvious to say, "Don't take on the big nasties solo", but then that implies players have to play online/with others. Conversely, it's not an impossible feat to fell them on one's own.

It is, quite rightly, a highly straining task that will net high reward if you're lucky, but more often than not comes with the hefty fine of reduced loot via way of knockout.

I'm sure the hardcore have done it, but for the everyman hunter, it just isn't worth the hassle.
