10 Classic Video Games Based On Cartoons That Deserve A HD Remake

4. The Adventures Of Batman And Robin

07 Batman Robin For this list, I tried to stay away from cartoons based on comic books, but I think I can get away with this one since the Adventures of Batman and Robin is actually based on "Batman: The Animated Series" rather than the comic source material. Indeed at the time of production it had been renamed, "The Adventures of Batman and Robin," and the art style and enemies in the game were very much based off the animation version rather than the comic books. Not to sound like a broken record, but again both console versions were completely different games. Konami did the Snes version, (which actually didn't feature much Robin at all) and was an action platformer, with decent combat sections. Each level is pretty different, being loosely based on different locations from the series. The Genesis version took more of a Run and Gun approach to the platform game and featured co-op gameplay, one as Batman one as Robin (obviously.) It also had levels featuring the Batwing. The Genesis version was known as the more difficult game of the two, but arguably has the superior visuals. At a time when Batman popularity is at an all time high, maybe the time is right for a tie in (or cash in) with a remake of this popular older game. Re-releasing a game like this could be a worthy companion piece for the upcoming Arkham Origins if the rights to the game could be acquired.
