10 Classic Video Games Only Extended By Stupid Enemy Decisions

7. Stripping The Earth Of Billions Of Souls, But Missing Out The World's Greatest Fighters - Mortal Kombat III

Shao Kahn is one of the few video game villains to take a step back from his failures in the previous game and actually come up with a half-decent plan to win this time. The plan involves resurrecting his darling Queen Sindel by reviving her in Earthrealm rather than Outworld, as this allows Kahn to step out from Outworld into Earthrealm, reclaim Sindel, and also steal billions of human souls at the same time. Of course, Lord Raiden manages to save a few souls, and these just happen to be the very fighters badass enough to stop Kahn. It's just difficult to buy the fact that Kahn was able to absorb billions of souls yet seemingly wasn't powerful enough to capture the precious few who stood a chance against him. Anyway, it's lamely convenient storytelling more than anything.
