10 Craziest Unique Religions In Video Games

As the above image indicates, The Founders are quite fond of America. Unfortunately, their admiration for their country doesn't just stop at building heavily idealized statues of the nation's founding fathers. The Founders leader, Zachary Comstock, preaches the type of heavily-quotation-marked "national pride" that inspires nationalism, xenophobia, and zealous wrath against non-believers.

The Founders are the most deeply unpleasant religion on this list, as racism is etched into their very belief system. One of the first things the player is asked to do is stone an interracial couple (although you are thankfully given the option of throwing the projectile into the face of the smug b****rd officiating the stoning), and it all goes downhill from there.

Zachary Comstock himself is an example of what happens when great power falls into the wrong hands, as he uses his daughter's ability to open rifts in the space-time continuum to purloin technology from the future, set himself up as a prophet and create the floating city of Colombia - a technologically advanced nation state with a medieval mentality.

Given all the above, it's immensely cathartic for the player when they finally catch up with Comstock himself. As my father always says, "If smashing a religious demagogue's skull into a bloody pulp on a baptismal font is wrong, then I don't want to be right". (Admittedly, this does make christening's a tad awkward).
