10 Crazy Video Game Spin-Offs You Won't Believe Exist
7. Wily & Light's Rockboard: That's Paradise
Another Mega Man spin-off, Wily & Light's Rockboard: That's Paradise (also known as Wily & Right No Rockboard: That's Paradise, or just Rockboard, depending on where you look) did something even more nutty with the Mega Man world than Mega Man Soccer did: it turned it into a board game.
After choosing the number of players, picking a character (options include most Mega Man favourites, like Wily, Roll and Cossack), selecting a map and setting the rules, you're dropped onto a Monopoly-style board. Here, your mission is to buy up as many properties as you can in order to secure the most rent, with the winner determined by factors like spaces owned, or Zenny (the game's currency) accrued.
So yeah... it's basically Mega Man Monopoly. There are even squares that you can land on which will cause various effects on the board, just like Chance Cards and Community Chest Cards. The only major difference from the classic property game is that, in Rockboard, multiple players can buy the same square, competing with each other to charge the most attractive rent price.
It's no surprise that most gamers have completely forgotten this one exists, because it's pretty uninteresting even by Monopoly standards.
