10 Darkest Quests In Elder Scrolls History

6. Mission To Morvayn Manor - The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

Morvayn Manor - The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
Bethesda

If you’re old enough to remember playing Morrowind chances are you remember this quest.

In Mission To Morvayn Manor you need to obtain an Ash Statue from the manor. Cool, no problem. Except there is a problem. The manor is overrun with Corprus beasts who have flocked to the property due to the influence of the statue. In comparison to the beasties of Skyrim and Oblivion, these guys are straight up horrifying. They suffer an affliction that causes growths to form on their body, but don’t worry it messes up their brain too as they gradually become insane and super violent. As a result the manor is a bone-chilling place to explore. Oblivion’s quest Where Spirits Have Lease where you wake up in a ghost-infested manor may have brought haunted houses into the modern Elder Scrolls era, but Morvayn Manor takes the proverbial cursed premises cake.
