10 Exact Moments That Made You Scream In Horror Video Games

8. Jack Baker's Entrance - Resident Evil 7

Alien Isolation
Capcom

Now originally, it was a toss-up between Nemesis bursting through the wall of Jill's apartment in the Resident Evil 3: Remake or the dogs leaping through the windows in Resident Evil 1 as my Resi entry for biggest and baddest entrance, but after recently revisiting Resident Evil 7, I have to admit that even though I knew it was coming, Jack Backer makes one hell of an impact when he comes crashing through the walls.

He might be a character better known for his iconic line of "Welcome to the family son," but he is also now infamous for his Cool-Aid guy impersonation which sees him smash through a wall and chase after the player. This moment is perfectly choreographed as it's never implicitly stated what Jack can and can't do, and when the player thinks they've given him the slip it can be easy to imagine them falling into a false sense of security.

"Take that Jack you idiot," might well be the last words you utter before screaming as your hopes of escape and the very walls themselves come crashing down around you.
